Hi all,
Sorry for the length of time between blogs. Consider it a good thing and that all is going well.
Yesterday Dad had a "tune-up" and is doing very well. He met with Julie (the neurology nurse) at the VA in Minneapolis and she upped on his "voltage" for his stimulator a bit. This cut out a small tremor that has appeared in the last week. It was completely normal for this to happen in the third to forth week after surgery. He is excited to get back to driving in the next week or so. He is doing really well and is in good spirits.
Mom has been to her cardiologist and had the requested tests done. The blockage that he assumed gave her the latest stokes does not appear in the tests that they did last Thursday, so the only thing that the cardiologist did was to ask mom to see a neurologist. The soonest she could get an appointment with her neurologist was the end of April. The cardiologist wants to be sure her neurologist and primary doctor are in agreement with him as far as any changes in medication that may be needed. So for now we play the waiting game. While it is frustrating to say the least, Mom is doing well and wants to be feeling better too.
While we may not post every day, we will keep you all informed as to what is happening in the Vogelgesang world.
Take care - thanks for all your support.
